MAP & GALLERY ADDRESSES
- Helen Stein Studio
Words of Wisdom from Helen Stein: It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. Fix what you can. Learn what you can. Keep trying to make the best of the life you have. Love and kindness are never wasted, they always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, they bless the one who received them, and they bless you, the giver.
- Pat Carroll Schultz Studio
Pat paints for fun. Experimenting with different techniques and media is exciting because one doesn’t know what might happen next. Many things can be an inspiration to play with color and form, and rules of art are made to be broken.
- Kitty Keller Designs
Kitty Keller: Kitty has opened a new retail store; the perfect place for her to display her one of a kind paintings and products like she has never done before. Her vast array of exclusive merchandise covers collegiate, Greek, and regional themes, among many other exclusive gifts and collectibles. Kitty is thrilled to be able to showcase her one of a kind works of art in downtown Seguin , so she can better share her work with more people.
- Mosheim Mansion
Aesop Cardenas: Aesop’s paintings are a unique blend of both traditional and contemporary styles. Through an ability to combine inspiration and creativity, his art holds a magic that guides one beyond everyday realities. He has a mastery of the palette that results in brilliant displays of color with astonishing black and whites. Aesop accredits his father, Valentin, for his friendly and even-tempered disposition as well as his artistic abilities.
Valentin Cardenas: I was born in Seguin, Texas in 1951, February, I like living in Seguin; its my pace. Been in the desert, been in the mountains, seen the oceans. I love my life, I enjoy many different things that I do, I stay very busy along with my full time job. My drawings are my most enjoyable moments in life. I do surrealism, nothing ever makes sense; why should it. Its just like colors, no one ever sees the same thing.
Sarah Reiff: Sarah uses a variety of materials in her artwork. In this show the mediums include watercolor, acrylic paint, and ink. The work is reminiscent of surrealist pieces that have influenced much of her paintings. There is variety in the method, medium and size of the artwork.
- MJC Gallery
Matthew Chase: Matthew Chase's love of photography became his career while still in college, first working part time as a freelance photographer then full time as a photographer at a commercial photography studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. All the while he continued to travel and pursue the fine art side of photography, focusing on landscape and nature. In 2009 Matthew opened his own art gallery showcasing his work, along with his mother's paintings.
Kristina Kelson: Kristina has enjoyed fine art since childhood and has worked with many different styles and types of art, from music to visual to craft arts. Her current focus is on visual arts, including oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings. One of Kristina's goals is to combine classical painting practices with a modern approach to produce images that convey light, form, depth, time, place, and emotion. She shares space in MJC Gallery with her son, Matthew.
- Gallery Marika
Marika Bordes: I see my sculptures as poets celebrating life’s passion and nobility. They represent the mysteries and the sanctity of daily life in pure lines and elongated style. Their forms are mostly female figures communicating the spirit of nurturing, tenderness, and strength. The challenge of sculpting gives sense to my life, because it perpetuates my dreams and allows me to share the wood’s enchanted poetry with others.
- Roger Betschler Studio
Roger Betschler: Roger’s gallery includes a large variety of his sculpture, painting and Texas pottery. You will be able to see work in progress in the studio.
